28th of June, it was a big day. A BIG DAY!
Cuz I skipped school. LOL, naah, cuz it was the Penang bands indoor competition.
Skip all the preparation..
We left school around 3 something and when we reach Dewan Sri Pinang, there were quite a number of teams already.
After all the briefing and made sure everything was settle, we waited, and waited. Haha.
Competition started around 5 something, I guess.
1st team was St. Xavier. When it was BM High's turn, we were already outside of the hall.
Encouraging each other, high-ed five etc, we were basically just calm and laughing off on loadsa stuffs.
Union and Jit Sin A were next.
Went in to a room to warm up and we cheered so loud.
It was hilarious cuz we couldnt be too noisy so whenever we cheered, we shushed ourselves. LOL
We didnt get nervous, well, not until the second we started to stand by the opened door, waiting for the Jit Sin members to get down from stage.
But the moment we walked in and started going up the stage, we changed.
We were ready, to... fight. No, kidding, ready to do our very best. =)
When I first saw the timpani I went o.O
Why the hell were there so many Fs on a timpano, Cs and Gs on the other timpani?
It was labeled, labeled and labeled for numerous time. -.-
For the first time ever, I was so grateful that I used to have hearing training. =D
Back then, I hated it so much. LOL
And the platform kinda freaked us. -.-
It went a lil shaky and there was this loud shaking noise whenever Jia Yi and I each hit the bass and timpani.
But we forgot about it very soon. =)
Those lil' conversation we had on stage were pretty funny and interesting. ; )
And I was like able to look at Nan Rou, Jing Ning and Pui Cheng only, couldnt communicate with them. =S
But then this came handy, I was able to tell what they were thinking from their facial expression and body language.
Thanks to all the closeness we have and how well we know each other. ;D
So yeah, after making sure all the percussionists are ready, gave Laurine a firm nod.
The emcee started to announce, took a deep breath, and we're ready! =)
Mei Thung helped and video recorded our performance. Will post it up soon. =)
First song was Warabe Uta Fantasy.
And that bloody timpani, the pedals were so hard to step, dang hard to change note.
Plus, I was wearing heels, we all were, but I had to use the front part of my foot to step real hard on the pedals. -.-
Ours are way easier to step. =)
Almost, I say almost, freak out when the pedal wouldnt move, I thought I couldnt change the note in time for my solo. LOL. But I got it all in hand anyway.
Next was The Eighties. We all love this song. ;D
Seriously, we enjoyed it so much. ;D
And it felt like it ended so fast, 12 minutes was used up already.

The platforms were really high for lowerbrass and they practically had to jump down wih the heels. Poor them.
Helped out and I ended up going out with 4 or 5 files with me. Haha.
When we stepped out of the hall, first thing, felt relief! Let out a deep breath.
Secondly, shouted in a very low voice, it's over! OMG OMG!
Slightly screamed and since I was first of the percussionists to come out and only Joella was in front of me, I hugged her,
un-noticing-
ly. xD
We were all just so happy. Next, went to Laurine. ;D
So yeah, we had a lil' food, chatted about everything on stage and went inside again.
It was Bagan's turn and since we were so
high and energetic, we eventually danced and moved along to the song and some the brass and woodwinds players even sang when they sang. -.-
They followed the
la laala lala la laala lala la la lala lala la..
and it took quite some time to make them stop
LOL
There was break and we took quite a number of photos.
Lighting was so terribly bad.
So up next was a few more schools and the last one was Jit Sin again, the juniors team.
Then it's time to announce the result. We were so freaking nervous.
And that prize giving ceremony was pretty.. annoying?
Cuz there were like hundreds of recorder and mini recorder competition and all we wanna hear is the final one.
When it started up with St Xavier we went o.o
When they announced they won
perak we went OMG.
Next was BM High, we heard
gangsa and we were like OMG OMG, it's coming.
There were a few more schools before us and we sat up straight, opened up our ears.
When the emcee said SMJK Perempuan China, took a real deep breath, crossed my fingers, looked straight at the emcee, it felt so long waiting for her to say the result.
And when she said
sijil emas, we cheered, clapped and screamed like crazy!! xD
Clapped for the other schools too but we basically just lived in our own world when the emcee wasnt announcing any result. xp
While waiting for the emcee to announce whose the champion, everyone was like so quiet, stared at her.
Though it came up was Jit Sin but we were very happy for getting gold certificate.
Too bad no one took our picture down when we cheered like crazy girls. xD
So we went back very quickly cuz it was close to 10pm and all the parents were waiting already.
We were so happy, excited but exhausted and most of them slept in happiness in the bus after food. =)
Back to auditorium but couldnt open the door and so headmistress came.
More photos taking while waiting.
Dont blame them, they went a lil' cuckoo after surviving with all the fever and flu.
Dear girls, we did well. We did awesome.
The first time, we, this batch of PCGHS Band members stood on this strange stage together after so many years PCGHS Band had stopped participating in indoor competition,
we tried our very best, adjust accordingly and hearing came into big help.
And what did we get?
We've got awesome happy memories to share around, we made the school and seniors proud. ;D
Although we didnt get champion, we aren't regret.
Although it was pretty scary on the shaky platforms, we showed our confidence.
Although there were erratic situations, and not used to the instruments provided, we were so adaptable.
Oh, percussionists, am so freaking proud of you girls.
Trusted you girls and you girls didnt let me down. =)
It's my last year in band, didnt have chance to take part in formation competition but it's alright.
We tried something different. And it's now filled with different experiences and memories.
PERCUSSION! Oooshh!
A lot a lot of thanks to all the loves and supports from teachers, seniors and friends!!
Thank you so much for trusting us, we couldnt do it all without you peeps' supports.
Thank you to whomever that helped us out for drum battle, indoor competition,
giving advices, settling all matters,
helped out as helpers, carrying stuffs here and there
and made sure we are all in good condition.
You guys know who you peeps are, it's a long name list to mention,
so just, thank you so so much! ;D
And sorry if we've caused any inconveniences. =)

It was my birthday yesterday. I had an awesome one. =)
This is the day, 17 years ago, when I made my mum to rush to the hospital in the midnight.
Because I was too eager to know about this world.
Because I wanted to see things faster, so I decided to come out with a hole in my heart as a 1.9kg baby.
Who knows, my first few months in this world wasnt anything good.
I had injections, hundreds of pipes poke into my throat, nose and anywhere else.
My body was full of weird stuffs, constantly taking medicine. But I survived. ^^
Once I heard a teacher saying we should thank mum on our birthday,
because she was the one who suffered, but bringing us to the world, bringing joy to the family.
So, thank you mum. =)
This was mum's birthday, a week before mine. =)
The day before my birthday this year was a disaster. Real disaster.
But on my birthday, it was a day I'd remember forever.
Probably because I was still living with the effects I had from the day before (LOL!) but it was full of awesome memories too. =D
My friends wished me throughout the night.
After I fell asleep at 10pm, I've been constantly waking up since 12am til 6.20 when the alarm rang.
Thank you dear friends for wishing me, though you guys could wish me when you all see me in school. ;D
Alison and Samantha gave me an orangey bag and pop tarts! ^^
During last few classes, Mei Thung came to class and stuffed something into my bag.
It was blue, and I went what is it?
It has a big head, I went OMG!
It has eight legs, I laughed.
It's an octopus from dear percussionists. =D
Thank you peeps, though I still feel it's weird thinking myself as an octopus. LOL.
My bed is full! ><
A large dog from cousin from China, a teddy bear from Nan Rou, an Elmo from mum, a teddy bear from sis, a Pooh from percussionists, now, another octopus from percussionists.
Honestly, I didnt like plush toys, but whatever is given as a present, I'd just accept it happily,
no matter what it is, as long as it's not something too over.
So, when people come to my room, they'd think I like plush toys, so I'm given more and more. LOL
I still have many little ones all hanging around in my room. Heh.
Anyhoo, thank you S5F for singing birthday song at the end of the day.
No wonder you people kept asking now argh? now argh? Haha.
Thank you, much appreciated.
Honestly, this is the class I like most. =)
Though I had to stay back for hours on my birthday, it was still alright.
I probably laughed more than doing stuffs. Heh.
Went night market as usual with family.
I finally got the char koay kak after so many weeks. The queue was dang long.
It was my lucky day after all. Heh.
After all the food, mum brought out the cake.
Ahh, I told her not to buy since we had one in end of May, and two for mum's birthday a week before mine.
But mum's mum, she wouldnt listen. Haha.
More and more candles on the cake,
I'm not even sure whether to be happy or sad.
Mum got me pressies, and I was shock.
My first response was, why did you get something so expensive?
And she went -_-
Oops! She got me a korean tee, a FCUK tee and a LeSportsac small pouch.
Thank you, mum! ♥♥♥
Honestly, wishes will do, there's no need to get me all this pressies.
But still, thank you everyone so so so much. =) ♥♥♥
Those who couldnt give present, it's alright, dont worry about it and dont be sorry. =) ♥♥♥
And to Man Thing gina too, dont worry, your jellies are yummy. ♥♥♥
I had to force myself to stop before I finish it all in less than 5 minutes. ;D
有心就好,心意领(?)了
Is it ling? Gaah, I dont care. xD

We had performance for the school's 90th anniversary opening ceremony on Saturday morning.
We waited for quite long? And luckily I had my camera with me, so we killed boredom by taking loadsa photos.
After the ceremony, percussionists came to my house we had loadsa fun and more craziness. xD
We started to make up since 3.45pm and we failed to finish by 5pm. >.<
My mum had to come back and rescue us. Hee.
Then, it was the night's concert. Video will be uploaded a.s.a.p.
Dang the Facebook uploader and Youtube. It both went error. TnT
Anyone knows where else to upload it?
So, yeah we had loadsa loadsa fun in the band room, a lot of craziness.
Ahh, I'm just too lazy to type it all out here.
Memories are all kept in my brain, so yeah, as long as we remember it, that's will be just fine. ; )
On the second day, we met up in school earlier just to get all the make up done.
Due to raining, and nothing much to do, and had too much time before our turn to go on stage, we all became moldy. I mean seriously, everyone was like so quiet. =.="'
Then we started doing random stuffs to avoid growing mushrooms and fungus. LOL!
The performance was great, was so dang happy. ;D
But the stuffs after that wasnt great at all. I dislike it, in fact, I hate it.
Like, WTH?! Think, peeps! THINK! Make your brain functional, would you?
So yeah, like Gina said, I was being strong on the outside?
No matter what, I tried to see another ray of hope, therefore I didnt think it would be the freaking last.
I was trying to see the next chance, not the last chance, get it?
So, anyhow, we tried to kill all the gloomy part by finding fun among keeping instruments, and EAT! LOL!
Then, more pictures, more more pictures. =)
For pictures, view it all up on my Facebook. I've uploaded it all.
Thanks to whomever, especially Gaik Sean for tagging everyone.
I'll get the video up a.s.a.p. I find out what is wrong with it, promise.
Thank you for the memories, dear percussionists.
<3 >
There will definitely be another chance.
See another ray of hope, see the next chance.
And do remember what I told you all, yeah?
♥♥♥
There're so much to say, so much to share.
And, one thing I like is,
you guys never let me down during critical moments.
I'm glad to see how you all reacted,
I feel grateful hearing some stuffs you all said.

Yes, so I did somehow bang a wall like I mentioned I'd in the previous post. See..

Credits to Elaine! ;D
Well, not exactly bang, just trying to jump and stick on the wall with Wei Cheen, =p
I was so exhausted and pissed and happy and sad and I-dont-know-how-to-describe-feeling. =.="'
Phew! So finally anniversary is over.
And I am so freaking lazy to update here after updated my facebook so much.
Total of 600++ of pictures and videos are uploaded.
WTH, some more the uploader having some dang problem, totally couldnt upload on Monday and on Tuesday I had to upload 20 by 20. =.="'
Well, anyway, I encountered some problem with shutter speed and I was frustrated.
Ended up I still get quite a few of good pictures lah but still, I am not satisfied. =.="'
And there's one scene where the staffs behind the scene have to call my mobile phone so that it rings among the audiences, but guess what, we tried so many times that it worked during rehearsal.
But when it was the actual performance, line lost. WTH, we were so worry.
Gim Min was like, I call already! I call already! Line lost!!
I was like, I still havent receive! OMG! It's not ringing! =.=
So pity Ee Kim, who on that scene, have to pretend to cry until the phone rings then only she can continue to next scene. ><
Luckily the staffs in charged of sound system quickly get something from lappy and rang it. Phew!!
And there's some sorts of incidents happened. So dang unhappy, but what can I do?
Continue to smile, cheer and calm the people around, get people smile for my cam.
I mean come on, we had no experience at all on doing an anniversary, it's not our fault for whatever social network manners you meant.
Everyone was just trying to have fun, it's not like we're in disciplinary practices or whatsoever army force training. ; )
Oh and hello?! Who are you to asshole-ly scolded me to speak softer while I was already speaking softly and you were loud yourself? You've to be glad that I did not shout right back at you and make a scene there. LOL! So freaking pissed at that moment. =.="'Anyway, we all still had fun. ;D
Game session was so fun. Farewell was OMG. So touching and made us sobs sobs so much. =S
Alright, so for those of you who couldnt make to the anniversary, just look through the pictures I've uploaded in facebook and read the captions then you'd eventually get what happened there as I practically captured every moment. =)
Picture time! =D
